Every country has its own collecting body, its own filing calendar and its own way of certifying that a company is up to date. In Switzerland, these elements form part of the file of every firm listed by the network.
The social security clearance certificate is the document that sums everything up: at a given moment it states whether the company has filed and paid. It is also the one that expires soonest, and the first the network asks its partners to renew. The table of documents below indicates which body issues it in Switzerland and under which wording to apply for it.
With no accreditation available, a Swiss firm is assessed on voluntary federal qualifications, foremost among them the federal certificate in social insurance, and on membership of a professional association imposing continuing education and quality review. Expected documents are the certified cantonal commercial register extract, with verification of signing authority, the debt collection register extract, certificates from the compensation fund, the pension institution and the accident insurer, and the tax certificate from the canton of registered office. Each certificate must name the canton that issued it.
