في المملكة المتحدة، تُلزم صياغة عقد العمل مسار الرواتب طوال مدته: فاللغة المستعملة والشكل المعتمد والبيانات الإلزامية يحددها القانون المحلي لا عُرف المقر الرئيسي.
انتهاء العقد هو اللحظة التي تُدفع فيها كلفة أخطاء الصياغة. فتصفية الحقوق ومهلة الإخطار والتعويضات ومستندات نهاية الخدمة تخضع لقواعد محلية يطبقها مدير الرواتب كل شهر: وهو، لا الإدارة القانونية في المقر، من يكتشف عقداً سيئ الضبط. وعرض نموذج العقد على المكتب الذي سيتولى الرواتب كلفته زهيدة ويتفادى معظم المنازعات.
The UK has neither a general tax clearance certificate nor a separate social security certificate: National Insurance contributions are collected by the tax authority alongside PAYE, so there is simply no social body to approach. Practice relies on a supplier self-declaration supported by a printout of its online tax account statement.
