في سويسرا، تُلزم صياغة عقد العمل مسار الرواتب طوال مدته: فاللغة المستعملة والشكل المعتمد والبيانات الإلزامية يحددها القانون المحلي لا عُرف المقر الرئيسي.
انتهاء العقد هو اللحظة التي تُدفع فيها كلفة أخطاء الصياغة. فتصفية الحقوق ومهلة الإخطار والتعويضات ومستندات نهاية الخدمة تخضع لقواعد محلية يطبقها مدير الرواتب كل شهر: وهو، لا الإدارة القانونية في المقر، من يكتشف عقداً سيئ الضبط. وعرض نموذج العقد على المكتب الذي سيتولى الرواتب كلفته زهيدة ويتفادى معظم المنازعات.
The absence of any single point of contact is felt immediately. An employer maintains relationships with a compensation fund, a pension institution, an accident insurer, a cantonal tax administration and a municipality. Any change of registered office renders certificates obtained in the previous jurisdiction ineffective.
Withholding tax at source then places the whole administrative burden on the employer for a substantial share of foreign and cross-border employees. Errors there are the most frequent and the most costly to correct.
The debt collection register extract, a document with no French equivalent, lists enforcement proceedings brought against a company over several years. It is routinely required in Swiss tenders and is the single most revealing item in a partnership file. Together they explain why a Swiss file contains more documents than a French one.

Compter une attestation par organisme — caisse de compensation AVS, institution de prévoyance LPP, assureur LAA, administration fiscale cantonale, office des poursuites — et vérifier chaque fois le canton d'émission, car un siège déplacé rend une attestation inopérante. L'extrait du registre des poursuites est la pièce la plus discriminante et n'a pas d'équivalent français : la demander systématiquement. Enfin, attention au vocabulaire : « fiduciaire » désigne en Suisse romande le cabinet comptable et n'implique aucune qualification, et « expert-comptable » sans le qualificatif « diplômé » ne correspond à aucun titre fédéral.
