في فرنسا، تُلزم صياغة عقد العمل مسار الرواتب طوال مدته: فاللغة المستعملة والشكل المعتمد والبيانات الإلزامية يحددها القانون المحلي لا عُرف المقر الرئيسي.
انتهاء العقد هو اللحظة التي تُدفع فيها كلفة أخطاء الصياغة. فتصفية الحقوق ومهلة الإخطار والتعويضات ومستندات نهاية الخدمة تخضع لقواعد محلية يطبقها مدير الرواتب كل شهر: وهو، لا الإدارة القانونية في المقر، من يكتشف عقداً سيئ الضبط. وعرض نموذج العقد على المكتب الذي سيتولى الرواتب كلفته زهيدة ويتفادى معظم المنازعات.

The duty of vigilance requires a principal to collect two distinct documents from its supplier: the tax clearance certificate issued by the public finances directorate and the attestation de vigilance issued by URSSAF, the social contributions collection body. The latter carries a security code allowing its authenticity to be checked online, and that check should genuinely be performed.
On data protection, the point of caution is a simple one: acknowledgement receipts from the national data protection authority have not existed since the European regulation took effect. A provider producing one is working from obsolete documentation.
Deux attestations à ne pas confondre : l'attestation de régularité fiscale (formulaire 3666-SD, DGFiP) et l'attestation de vigilance (URSSAF), qui n'ont ni le même émetteur ni la même finalité ; le donneur d'ordre doit collecter les deux et l'attestation de vigilance se contrôle en ligne grâce à son code de sécurité. Autre particularité française : le titre de gestionnaire de paie n'est pas protégé, alors que celui d'expert-comptable l'est — la vraie question à poser au candidat est de savoir s'il tient aussi la comptabilité, auquel cas l'inscription au tableau devient obligatoire. Enfin, ne demander aucun récépissé CNIL : la formalité a disparu en 2018 et sa production trahirait une documentation obsolète.
